Release history

A growing atlas

The major changes to Thoughtlines, with the newest first.

Current application: v0.10.123 · Alpha · 14 October 2026

Current release and scope

Alpha · under active development. Interfaces, research methods and data may change substantially. This is an exploratory research tool with a partial database, not a comprehensive account of the history of philosophy.

The captured InPhO inventory provides a broad structural foundation. Sourced treatments, readable summaries, dates and interpretive connections cover a smaller selection of that foundation. The Trinity is the main research pilot; coverage elsewhere is uneven. A missing treatment or connection indicates a gap in this atlas, not an absence in philosophical history.

The public site is a read-only snapshot, updated periodically from local research. It may lag behind ongoing work. Application versions describe the software; individual stories, source snapshots and research records have their own editions or dates.

Major revisions

Related changes are grouped into short milestones. This is a reader-facing summary of the detailed internal application changelog, not an entry for every fix or data import.

14 October 2026 · v0.10.123

A gentler starting point

A new home page offers guided reading, Trinity collection exploration and wider atlas browsing. Explorer stays one click away, and existing links to graph selections continue to work.

14 October 2026 · v0.10.122

Repeatable public releases

The complete read-only atlas can now be exported, checked and published through one release command. Published builds carry a revision marker so a particular edition can be identified.

14 October 2026 · v0.10.119–v0.10.121

One interface, locally and on the web

Explorer, record details, Overview, Collections and navigation now share the same interface across local and published editions. Public readers can inspect research history and reports; editing and unpublished drafts remain local.

14 October 2026 · v0.10.112–v0.10.118

The first public alpha

Thoughtlines became a read-only web application alongside Field Notes. The release includes the graph, collection reports, stories and documentation, using a saved snapshot rather than the live research database.

14 October 2026 · v0.10.100–v0.10.111

Stories with companion graphs

Two Trinity readings introduced comparative and chronological routes through the material. Their interactive figures follow the article, highlight current accounts, and provide access to summaries and sources.

Earlier alpha development · 11–14 October 2026

Research collections and a navigable atlas

Explorer gained timelines, collection focus, compact groups and sourced record details. Collection tools made research batches, reusable drafts, coverage and treatment comparisons inspectable, with reversible editorial review in the local workspace.

Initial foundation · 11–12 October 2026

From source connections to treatments

The project established a graph of people, ideas and works based on InPhO, extended with sourced accounts of thinkers’ contributions. Dates, provenance and the distinction between source associations and interpreted relationships became part of the foundation.
